The South Will Rise

No doubt about it: Dallas is high-rise happy. The Ritz. The W. From Azure to ZaZa, everyone is getting their heads in the clouds. But leave it to historical Oak Cliff to say, “Been there, done that.” Built in 1926, Lake Cliff Tower has served many purposes over its long history: luxury hotel, retirement center, and even the original home of radio legend KLIF-AM. (Owner Gordon McClendon ran the station out of the tower’s basement.)

Now Evergreen Realty Advisors is returning the long vacant jewel to its former glory. With unobstructed views of downtown Dallas and the wooded hills of North Oak Cliff, Lake Cliff Tower will feature 60 luxury loft-style condominiums complete with concrete floors, exposed beam ceilings, gourmet kitchens, concierge service, private wine lockers, and more. Add to that the nearby Bishop Arts District, five-minute access to downtown, Uptown, and Deep Ellum, as well as the forthcoming Trinity River redevelopment, and you have sky-high lifestyle minus the normal hefty price tag (units range from one bedrooms for $185,000 to penthouses for $600,000).

And best of all, there’s an El Fenix right across the street. Cheese enchiladas and the splendor of Oak Cliff? Now that’s luxury living. For more information, visit www.lakeclifftower.com.
